Dubai plans to beat its own record for world’s tallest building with a one-kilometre-high skyscraper in the Nakheel port district.
The building will be so tall that if it was laid end to end it would stretch one kilometre.
The tower will be so phallic that women will not be allowed to look at the city’s skyline.
The building’s enormous height will add much-needed office space to accommodate the emirate’s growing population of people planning a future world’s tallest building.
With the building so out of proportion to the surrounding suburb, the emirate will secure approval by flying in planning staff from Wollongong City Council.
