A massive fire has gutted Silver Top Taxis’ Rupert Street depot, causing $1 million damage.
The fire exacted a heavy toll, plus a heavy return toll, which is complete bullshit.
Fire trucks were delayed in getting to the scene by morning traffic and this shortcut the driver knew.
The fire started in an office area, but spread rapidly after reaching the room where they store the chemical that gives off that authentic “taxi” smell.
All 30 workers in the building, including call-centre operators, were evacuated, however the computer speech recognition system didn’t make it after failing to understand the word “evacuate”.
