Time magazine has awarded ‘Person of the Year’ to “You”, since “You control the information age.” Part of Time’s 25 December edition cover was coated in reflective mylar to mark the award.
In a close race for the coveted title, your grotequely distorted reflection narrowly beat runners-up Stephen Colbert, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and you.
If US President George Bush purchases the edition, he will have won “Person of the Year” three times—equal with wartime leader Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
The award also puts you level with your technophobe parents, who won “Person of the Year” along with all under-25s back in 1966.
The magazine noted that advances such as YouTube and video-equipped mobile phones were transforming television to the point where it has almost as many pictures as a copy of Time itself.
