Italian authorities may revoke 007’s “Licence to Drive”

The iconic Aston Martin DBS used by James Bond in the upcoming film Quantum of Solace has been fished out of Italy’s Lake Garda after a stunt driver lost control of the vehicle.

Rescuers were able to fish out the driver, the car, and about 800 Mafia informants.

The driver is recovering in hospital and will have to explain himself to Q.

Italian authorities will next week consider revoking 007’s famous “Licence to Drive”.

Upon seeing that his car was all wet, actor Daniel Craig quipped that his martini was still dry. He was then told to stick to the script and reminded not to drink on set.

Quantum of Solace, the 22nd Bond film, sees the Mi6 agent come up against former Quantum host Geoff Burchfield. Burchfield, angry that his show was cancelled, unveils a weaponised form of high-quality science journalism but is eventually stopped by budget cuts. (Spoiler alert!)
