A US-based monitoring service has reported that jihadists are being urged to ‘invade’ sites like YouTube and Facebook to promote their cause.
Authorities are concerned that the call will bring thousands of angry idiots onto the sites, where they will leave ill-informed comments in poorly-worded English.
Facebook could prove an even more potent weapon in the jihadist arsenal, once groups are set up, including “Lashkar-e-Taiba Class of ‘02” and “I bet I can find 1,000,000 people who hate the Zionist infidel Crusaders!!!”.
It will also make it easy to organise future terrorist attacks by putting reminders on co-conspirators pages.
At present, the most radical group currently represented on Facebook is the Scots College Old Boys Union.
