A hail of bullets rained down on a local chicken shop yesterday.
But in a tragic mix-up today, a Petersham bullet shop was struck by a hail of chickens in a drive-by shooting believed to be linked to poorly organised crime.
Gangsters have issued a full apology and pledged to hold an open and independent public inquiry, headed by a judge they own.
Members of the Poultry Crime squad described the scene as the most horrific since that time a chicken woke up next to its own head.
