Fairfax reports that Logan City Council’s Darren Power has called for the state’s released paedophiles to be sent to a remote island.
Paedophile Isle will be the most inhuman, depraved, barren, soulless place in all of Queensland: apart from the Gold Coast.
The nightmarish island would resemble the setting to William Golding’s 1954 novel, Lord of the Flies. Obviously without all the young boys.
Civil libertarians have condemned the proposal, saying that the idea of sending criminals to a faraway island is not what Australia is all about.
