Gaoled former Labor MP Milton Orkopoulos is adamant that the Premier, Nathan Rees, did not know about his involvement with teenage boys when working as his chief of staff, because he had been clever enough to fool even those closest to him.
Speaking from his prison cell earlier today, Mr Orkopolous said: “I was so clever! Outsmarted all of you! I’m a criminal mastermind! You’ll never catch me! Because I’m too clever!”
The only flaw in his plan being the ludicrously remote possibility that one of the victims might report him.
The community must now contend with the frightening prospect of Mr Orkopolous becoming even cleverer over the course of his nine-year sentence.
It caps another bad week for Nathan Rees; the only current or former minister not embarrassing him is a paedophile.
