Mexico’s Green Party is campaigning to reinstate the death penalty in response to a rise in violent crime.
Mexicutions are carried out by mixing three chemicals in a crunchy corn syringe together with fresh, crispy lettuce, seasoned ground beef and tasty cheddar cheese. The hotness of the Mexicution is in proportion to the severity of the crime. Mexicutions are carried out in the presence of a Roman Catholic priest, Nachos Supreme® and a large Pepsi®.
Police are thought to be sympathetic to the Green proposal, given that of the 300 student protesters shot during the lead-up to the 1968 Olympics, not one re-offended.
Observers have noted that support for the death penalty is rare among the world’s environmentalist political parties. Theories on what led the Greens to join calls for the death penalty include that they’re opening a new front in the fight against overpopulation, or the possibility that pancuronium bromide and potassium chloride are now considered recreational drugs.
The last execution carried out by a Green Party official took place in 2003 after a protester in a George Bush costume was burned as an effigy.
