Einfeld notches up 12th demerit on his Order of Australia

1 March 2009 | Joe Stella

Disgraced former judge Marcus Einfeld is likely to lose his Order of Australia (AO) later this year unless the Governor-General uses new powers to revoke it unilaterally beforehand.

Read more background from The Australian.

Mr Einfeld claimed that a female friend had put his “AO” on the end of her name at the time the letters notched up their 12th demerit point.

Unfortunately, the day Mr Einfeld chose to lie his way out of a speeding fine, it was double demerits for perjury.

Awaiting sentencing but free on bail, Mr Einfeld has been stripped of his passport and told not to go within 400 metres of any overseas departure point. This means that he’s only allowed in the back half of the queue at customs.

Marcus Einfeld

Marcus Einfeld is the son of prominent Sydney overpass Syd Einfeld.

Mr Einfeld was outspoken defender of civil liberties. The former judge was particularly fond of the right to free speech—to be able to say what you like no matter how much you’re lying and how much you’re doing it on a statutory declaration.

A sick man, Mr Einfeld is now being treated for depression, prostate cancer and chronic unsympatheticness.

He also faces numerous other problems, including being stalked by local weirdo Angela Liati, a pervert of the course of justice.
