Presiding over an inquest into the mauling deaths of two Alice Springs men, the Northern Territory’s coroner says it is unacceptable that packs of wild dogs are eating citizens.
Human victims lack the goodness of marrowbone, which is essential to a dog’s healthy bones and shiny coat.
Indeed, expert testimony to the inquest revealed that top breeders recommend not eating humans.
Michael Anthony Hardy, aged just 27, died last year after being set upon by dogs while drunk. After killing and eating the intoxicated Mr Hardy, many of the dogs wrongly thought they were okay to drive.
Coroner Greg Cavanagh was brought in on the case because of his experience in the area. Last week he led an inquest into who pissed on the rug.
