A convicted rapist is back behind bars after police found 10 bodies in his Ohio home.
Anthony Sowell reportedly responded to the grisly find by telling police “now, I know what this looks like.”
Neighbours say that it’s always the one you least suspect, in this case the registered sex offender next door whose house smells of rotting flesh.
Locals had long suspected that the rotten smell was coming from a nearby sausage factory, but never investigated, mindful of German Chancellor Otto von Bismarck’s advice not to watch them being made.
Indeed, even after police had named Mr Sowell as a suspect in the murders, many continued to blame the sausages for the deaths, citing concerns over high cholesterol.
Police initially suspected sausages of being responsible for the brutal crime.
