The re-enactment revealed that Mr McGurk was shot at close range, yesterday, by the police.

It’s understood that the fatal wound was inflicted using a laser pointer.

While police haven’t yet named a suspect, several of the officers involved in the re-enactment were put into police cars and taken from the scene, possibly to a police station.

ABC News reports that police think Mr McGurk was shot from 10 metres away. Members of the public are warned that, should they see the gunman, do not approach him, but keep a safe distance of about 11 metres.
