After last night’s edition of The Drum, there was plenty of criticism from the left of Daily Grind editor Joe Stella.
We won’t go into all the details of what was said by who, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share the thoughts of a former solar panel installer from Hobart. The email is entitled “Joe Stella is an absolute dick”.
Carl Hippman wrote to us anonymously to point out that “seeing that joe dick on abc drum last night reinforces what little he knows and to have him on abc is an absolute farce. shame on the abc to have this goon sprouting his bullshit.”
Perhaps to ensure that we didn’t publish his words, he added:
“CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE AND DISCLAIMER ... Information in this transmission is intended only for the person(s) to whom it is addressed and contains privileged and/or confidential information. Do not forward on to another party unless authorised by the original sender. Sadly, these things have no legal force. But then again, it wasn’t really Carl’s day. Because you shouldn’t send anonymous hate-mail from addresses that appear on online lists of approved solar panel installers.
We emailed Carl to confirm that it was him. He told us he’s no longer in the solar business, but did warn that “I’m going to be starting up a blog to counteract the gross misleading and misrepresentative information spoken by you and many others in the public forum.”
We’ll let you know if Carl sends us a link.
