Coalition decision to fight ETS may have been based on fake balls

The National Party may undermine the Liberals’ professed support for an emissions trading scheme, potentially setting the stage for an election fought on anthroprogenic climate change.

But concern is growing within Coalition ranks that the decision to take on the government over anthroprogenic climate change—which most voters believe in—could have been predicated on fake balls.

Senior Liberals are worried that, should Labor seriously threaten a ‘climate change’ election, the balls will be exposed as a fake.

For now, National Party leaders say that they have no reason to believe the balls aren’t authentic. So far, no-one who has seen the balls has revealed them publicly.
