Angered that their appeal was lost on legal grounds, Native Title claimants from the Yorta Yorta tribe began firing allegations of racism indiscriminately at the crowd assembled outside the High Court building yesterday.
Nine bystanders were vilified in the spree, with at least three describing themselves as “critically insulted”.
Police managed to disarm Yorta Yorta representative Monica Morgan’s invective without resorting to their own arsenal of racist slurs. Today Ms Morgan will face questioning as to what exactly she understands by the term “racism”.
