Anti-depressants found to be top drug for women, researchers taking it pretty hard

The most commonly-prescribed medications for Australian women are anti-depressants, new research from Newcastle and Queensland universities has found.

Newcastle’s Professor Julie Byles is understood to have taken the news pretty badly and is not answering calls.

Anti-depressants popular with women include, sertraline, fluoxetine and cake.

This contrasts with popular male anti-depressants venlafaxine and “walking it off”.
